ME
My creativity sparked when my grandfather taught me to weld, which quickly turned into a torch obsession. My work with metal has evolved into a line of jewelry constructed from recycled bullet casings. I use materials perceived as deadly and transform them into beautiful pieces of art, and so Art of War Designs was born. Aside from bullets I love taking photographs, writing, welding, and making all kinds of things from random tems I find on this journey.WAR
I find myself extremely fascinated by the ideology behind war. What is it inside our ourselves that keeps us in constant battle? I am an advocate for peace, but truly believe that the only way we will ever achieve peace is to understand and embrace both sides, dark and light, in our world and in ourselves.ART
Jewelry from Art of War is either one of a kind or reproduced in small quantities. All bullet casing are waste reclaimed from shooting ranges and military salvage yards. Art of War Designs uses recycled, antique and vintage items whenever possible. All items from Art of War are handcrafted with love and care in Los Angeles. If you have a bullet that has meaning to you, I would be more than happy to make it into a custom accessory.LIFE
I currently reside in the City of Angels, with my two American Pit Bull Terriers. I am very passionate about the education, rescue and rehabilitation of this breed. I donate a portion of every sale I make to the Villalobos Rescue Center (http://www.vrcpitbull.com) who is doing amazing work for these abused and exploited animals.**Please note that I do not condone the use of guns in violent acts against fellow human beings or animals. I do, however, enjoy target shooting for fun.
